Booking the Hall and Rates

Introduction:

The hall is run by a group of volunteers to provide a resource for the community. If you use the hall please accept this and the spirt with which it is run. We have no caretaker nor do we pay a signififcant amount for cleaning. This means that you will have to leave the hall in a clean state for the next user. If you do not wish to do this, please oragnise you own cleaner, or perhaps consider a venue which is run on a more commercial basis.

If you'd like to have a look round the facilities, please email us. It may surprise you that someone thought it would be OK to look round the hall while a group was mid way through their booking. This community resource will work best if we all use common sense and show respect.

Process for booking the Hall:

We are at an early stage of adopting this online booking system, so please be tolerant and help us by raising any questions on skelsmerghcommunityhall@gmail.com

SECURITY of YOUR DETAILS: To reassure you, your financial details are safe, we pay for a third party to manage the on-line payment system: SAGE-PAY. We do not see your card details, they never come to us. Sage Pay is one of the world’s most respected and secure on line payment management systems.

From the main menu on the left hand side of our front page, select Booking the Hall. If you haven’t registered on our site, you’ll be asked to do so (It’s simply your name and email address. We will not pass on your details).

Once on Booking the Hall page. Click on the link To book the Hall click here

You’ll then be asked to put in brief details to check hall availability. You must choose event type (see page of hall charges for details). PLEASE NOTE, your booking time MUST include set up and clean up time, preventing double booking.

For wedding receptions, please email us.

If the hall is free, click on the link at the bottom of the page.

You will then be asked for details, including your payment card details. You will be asked to accept terms and conditions which are accessed by clicking on the links.

Once you’ve completed your request, and email is automatically sent to use, and we then process the booking.

If, after your event, the hall is left clean and ready for next user, your deposit will be returned to your account.

Hall Charges

Hourly bookings ?12 per hour. This includes elections, chritenings etc. To this, a ?50 deposit will be added. Your deposit will be returned if you comply with the terms and conditions of the booking, most particularly, returning the hall clean and ready for the next user.

Funerals please contact Sam Scarr on 01539 724736?or 07818 018361 (please don't routinely phone this mobile for any other question, use the email address). These booking could include setting up the hall and cleaning after the event.

Weddings: From 9am on the Friday untill 5pm on the Sunday, the cost is ?350.This booking time includes your set up and clean up time. If there's availability, these days could be adjusted. To this, a ?100 deposit will be added. Your deposit will be returned if you comply with the terms and conditions of the booking, most particularly, returning the hall clean and ready for the next user.
